Nota d'usoMentre il sostantivo public significa “pubblico” in senso lato e anche nel senso specifico di “insieme di persone con interessi in comune” (ad es. the reading public, il pubblico dei lettori), non si usa in riferimento al pubblico allo stadio o al teatro, ecc. In questo caso si usa audience (al teatro, al cinema) o spectators, crowd (allo stadio e per lo sport in generale). -
